Located in Washington DC, this design-build project consisted of the rehabilitation of an existing 60,000 SF school and an additional of a new 7,000 SF gymnasium into a public charter school. The project scope included our evaluation of existing conditions, layout of programmatic elements, review of relevant building codes and ADA requirements, design of building modifications and design of a separate prefabricated structure for the school's gymnasium. Working with Smoot Construction Inc., the project was completed in eight months and opened in 1999.
