Designed for a custom home builder, this project transformed an existing deteriorated duplex into a spacious 4 bedroom home with a stunning roof terrace. The builder’s initial request to update and enlarge the duplex led to an exploration of options to redevelop the large corner lot. JHA suggested converting the original duplex into a single-family home, along with building a second home at the back section of the lot facing the side street. Both homes embrace a modern aesthetic, and the successful collaboration led the builder to later commission JHA for the design of his own home renovation.
